Fuerteventura, a chunk of Sahara in the middle of the Ocean.
Fuerteventura is relatively flat, and the landscape, consists largely of dry lava fields and rocks. Big open planes make it easy for powerful winds to form constantly, which have earned the island its name. Having a van means you can get warm and cozy between the swells, and travel comfortably and quickly whenever the wind picks up or dies down!
Fuerteventura is the second largest island as well as one of the least developed. Its fierce winds have transformed Fuerteventura into one of the most popular kitesurfing destinations, not only in Spain but also the world. Surfers will also find a whole range of waves here to enjoy and plenty of nearly empty beaches.
The island is home to many seemingly endless beaches, which have transformed it into the perfect playground for water sports. There is tons of untapped potential here for exploring but also simply relaxing. It’s relatively easy to seek secluded spots and spend your days far away from the hustle and bustle of towns and other tourists.
